Coaches Corner

V9, Boulder,  Avg: 2.7 from 51 votes
FA: Will Anglin
Colorado > Morrison/Evergr… > Morrison Boulders > Dark Side > Dasani Area

Description

Coaches Corner is a direct start to the problem Dasani. It starts on the flat, seemingly impossible undercling in the middle of the face, heads up the the arete, and finishes out the last half of Dasani. The first move is the crux and doesn't really let up until you do the huck!

Location

This is on the first boulder you come to on the main trail.

Protection

A couple pads, the landing is a little wonky.

[Hide Comment] I heard this has been done using only the face? Anyone know? Nov 30, 2015
[Hide Comment] After doing this in good conditions, it's probably V8.

[Hide Comment] I felt it's in the V9/10 range. In my opinion, it depends on the beta one has to use. Awesome line though... I really enjoyed the flow. May 5, 2016

[Hide Comment] Agreed with Zack, line is great, depends on the beta you use...doesn't seem to fall victim to short or tall which is nice. Either way, for being short, it should still be a four star line! V9/V10 or V10- whatever the hell you want to call it. :)

[Hide Comment] Definitely not V10, but it's a great little climb. I think V9 is a fair grade for Coaches Corner. Below is my beta video:

[Hide Comment] Fun power route.

[Hide Comment] I'm not gonna lie, I walked right past this line a handful times, almost purposefully avoiding it (probably because of its size), but a friend finally convinced me to stop and give it a try. Walked away with a quick send and a lot of fun. The moves on this are great ,and it packs quite a number of them for such a short boulder. Worth the time. I should've stopped sooner. May 6, 2018
