Access Issue: Warning! Stainless steel bolts are suspect near the coast! Details

Description

Easier climbing at the beginning up to a fun crux sequence that is well protected in the middle of the route. Then easier but slightly pumpy climbing to the anchor.

Protection

Slings and titanium bolts.

An old guidebook rates this climb as a 6a+ but the 2014 guidebook gives it a 6b perhaps because some of the holds are slightly polished but it didn't seem too bad. Mar 8, 2015

One of the harder 10c I've done at Tonsai.

Word to the wise: Make sure your belayer is wearing full foot protection. Mine was only wearing thongs and my fall on this climb lifted her up and into the sharp bottom part of the wall, cutting a sizable gash into her foot. She was out of commission the rest of the time here. Dec 18, 2018
