DescriptionIn a good year, basically the whole slab from the "Coloring Book" corner to the edges of "Rhino Skin" ices over, with the thickest ice in the area of "True Colors" and "L'Anniversaire". Plenty of room for at least two independent parties to climb without dropping ice on one another.
BE CAUTIOUS of the possibility of SNOW AVALANCHE of the lower-angle snow above the ice. PROBABLY BEST TO AVOID THE AREA IF THERE HAS BEEN A FREEZING RAIN FOLLOWED BY A HEAVY SNOW.
Pitch 1 - Climb directly up. Belay off screws. 150-170 ft WI 3- / 3
Pitch 2 - Continue up, trending right near to top to intercept the trees. [See photo for "exit"] 150-170 ft WI 3
Descent - The 8" pine-tree Rap anchor for "Livin' Easy" is about 25-35 ft to your right. Make a 140 ft rap to the "Dead Easy/ Livin' Easy" ledge, then a 100-110 ft rap to the ground from a 6" maple.
