Description

From the gully, climb past 3 bolts of 5.8 terrain using extra long slings to reach Steve's original 2-bolt belay anchor. From here, climb past 2 bolts in the slab to finally reach the main wall.

From here, launch into a nice 12a intro section to the large, horizontal break. From the break, the hard moves just keep coming and coming. Large shouldery moves lead to the 2nd to last bolt and the crux. Make a big move on two small edges to a giant basketball jug. Traverse the jug left, and complete the scary run up the little slab to the anchor.

Location

This route is the left-most line on the Wild Wall.

Protection

12 bolts, extra long slings for the bottom, 2-bolt anchor.

[Hide Comment] Proud effort by Mr. Scott. I thought this might deserve a solid .13 grade, but I'm on the shorter side YMMV. Jan 13, 2015

[Hide Comment] Incredible line! There's a distinct crux that would be much easier if you're 6ft or taller with thin fingers. Mar 23, 2025

[Hide Comment] Fun route! SO F-ING FUN! I found short man beta that doesn't require the 5mm sidepull crimp or the right-leaning thin finger slot (I have obese unruly sausages for fingers). It is solid 13b at least no question, even for a shorty like myself (5'7", negative 2 ape). You've a decent "get your shit together" rest right before you enter the crux, so that helps. It's a super tricky section that felt unsolvable first go, but with patience and a bit of F-you, it'll happen! No one I know does the crux the same, so that bodes well for all body types and styles. Have at it! May 20, 2025
