The two areas Jefferson County Open Space intends to close in Clear Creek Canyon, shown on the attached maps, encompass the active eagle nests. If the Clear Creek eagles continue to nest in the active nests, these areas will remain closed from February 1 through July 31. If the eagles choose different nesting sites, the closures will be adjusted accordingly to protect those eagles during their breeding season.

June 7, 2021 - TBD: Highway 6 is currently doing full road closures from Sunday night to Friday morning every week. The closure is from the junction of Highway 119 and Highway 6 to the junction of Highway 40 and Highway 6 (mile post ~260 to ~257). Vehicles that remain in the closure will be towed at owners expense.

Location
This is the first route as you approach the crag from the bottom. The hangers are bright silver, and chains and rap rings are visible from the bottom.
[Hide Comment] This route does not deserve the "bomb" rating given by Ethan. It is a dirty route with quite a bit of loose and exfoliating rock, but it will, in fact, clean up. What people who don't develop fail to realize is that most "good " routes were, at one point, piles of choss. I know for a fact that this route has only been climbed 3 or 4 times, tops, including the FA. I'm not saying this route is a gem...it just needs time.... If you're up there, give it a climb, and step out of your desire for the sterile and clean and enjoy a little adventure. Thanks for your effort, contribution, and time, Keith North.
