Description Suggest change

Bit of a one move wonder with the crux coming just above a ledge at the start of the crack. scramble up the dirty 5-easy to a ledge and ride the hand-sized crack to the top. Seemed to go slightly harder than the undercling.

I believe this was originally climbed in 1932 and was referred to as “C6 - Southeast Crack” in the Sierra Club’s Newsletter, The Yodeler, from the “A Climber’s Guide to Local Rock” series.

This was originally entered into Mountain Project as “Mount Crackula”, so any previous comments or descriptions referring to that route are talking about this one.

Location Suggest change

This is the obvious larger crack on the corner as you look from the northeast face towards the east face.

Protection Suggest change

Possible ledge-fall is the reason for the safety rating, the crack takes gear quite well. Can be lead with a set of stoppers and a couple hexes. Could TR around a tree with a very long piece of webbing.
