Description

A well bolted route and the easiest sport climb at Klinger Springs. Start at a bolt about 8’ off the ground, and continue straight up to an arête on the left side. Continue up the bolt line to a small roof. Clip the bolt, and then cross under the roof and pull through the roof using large sidepulls and jugs.

Location

Look for a route that looks well bolted, first bolt is 8' off the ground, and second is about 6' above it.

Protection

16 bolts With Mussey Hook anchors.

I counted 16 bolts plus the anchor, but it felt overbolted. I used 14 draws and it was never run out. It was a fun, easy route! Sep 28, 2015

Micah, I think the official name is "Great Sport Route." I will always think of it as Gun Shot Residue. Sep 9, 2016

I liked the bolt spacing! No ground fall potential with bolt spacing. Did skip some though higher up. Hand holds are hard to spot due to natural "camouflage" coloring of rock. Jul 8, 2018
