Description

Follow cross-bedding and a mosaic of desert varnished face holds up the less than vertical face to the top of 90' foot pillar. The first ascent party followed hand crack to the left before hopping on the face and drilling on lead. Rookie hooking lead to big whippers and the name :) 2 additional bolts were later added to the bottom. The technical crux is at the bottom (first 10') with a fun mental crux at the top. Good times all around!

Great route! Top bolts are a little far apart, but that certainly makes the route exciting. Jun 2, 2015

This route has really nice edge climbing at a moderate grade. You have to climb above the bolts a ways but the holds are excellent, unless they should break. Jul 10, 2016

High quality, patina face climbing. Quite a fun route in the spectacular DRC setting with enough space between bolts to let you climb. Nov 14, 2016
