Description

Start at the upstream end of Mather Gorge. The flat Iron is a flat triangular rock formation facing upstream that abuts the river at an angle and resembles a flat iron sitting on its broad end. Climb the acute angle corner.

Location

The descent for Reverse Chimney, Flat Iron Corner, Spraddle Route, and Ringbolt is by the 4th class downclimb beginning next to the upstream side of Reverse Chimney.
