This is the must do route on the wall. Shangri La goes up a techno-colored wall with great technical crimping down low and steep jug pulling up high. A must do for the area. Amazing climbing!


Last route on the right in the middle section, just left of a OW crack.

I would also have to agree with Eric. Hands down the best 11a sport route I've ever laid my hands on. Incredible sustained movements with a killer Sierra backdrop. It would be a sin to come to Shuteye and not climb this route.

Best 5.11a sport route I have climbed so far. First half is powerful moves fighting barn doors followed by an easier top half (5.10b/c?), but still really fun. Dec 2, 2015
