Gate Buttress Area Recreational Lease: Climbs on Church Buttress above vault remain closed Details

Description

No idea who did the FA on this problem, but the route climbs three drilled holes on the face between Dean's Problem and Dean's Arrete, so whatever. Basically an elimination problem that removes the use of the arrete, fun to do anyways.

Sit start low on the corner jugs. Make a big move up and left to the first mono pocket - grab a bad crimp out right (optional), and bump up to the second drilled hole. Get the feet high, and step into the final mono. Jugs at the top.

Note: if anyone knows the actual name of this problem please list it.

Location

Little Cotton Wood Canyon, Cabbage Patch area. To the right of Dean's Problem.

Protection

Crash pad or two, a spotter.

Ahh, I was informed that "Dean's" follows the drilled hole (plus one kind of drilled hole) in the middle of the boulder (from that terrible sit start using the nasty undercling) and not the drilled holes on the right near the arete - Thanks! Sep 27, 2014

I think that the actual name of this is "The Dean Problem" ;) albeit, with a sit start added from the arete. The three drilled holes in the beta picture are the same as those on the Dean Problem. Sep 27, 2014
