Description

Start underneath the low overhang on a small left crimp, right pinch and an obvious right foot feature. Leap straight back and hit the obvious jug. If you hold on you can reward yourself with a nice mantle to finish the problem. The hardest part might be avoiding the dab on this short climb.
Alternate beta: either slap out right or use an intermediate left crimp to reach the jug.

Location

Starts under the overhang on the backside of the Trailside boulder. Just left of The Thing, V1 (7l on the original Chris Dorrity Guidebook).

Javier...I must apologize to you! I finally got around to the Bald this past weekend and saw this line, and it was NOT the line I was thinking about when I wrote my original post. My bad on my previous post!!! I was thinking of the route to the right of this one just a little, and when I saw the boulder and this route I realized I had mistaken the 2. Great send and hard work digging that thing out, a nice first FA for sure :) Dec 15, 2014

This route has been climbed since the early 2000's...at least I sent it along with a group of about 3 other boulderers back in 2000-2001. We never had a name for it, but it definitely isn't a new climb. Not meaning any sort of disrespect, in fact, thanks for all you've done to better the Bald Javier!!! Sep 24, 2014
