Guidebook rates it at 5.7, but if climbing the line of bolts, I would not say it's any easier than 5.8s surrounding it.

[Hide Comment] Hard start. Bad for newbies. Also none of the 3 newbies I was with could get past the 2nd bolt. Not even sure how to rate this as there are 1-2 moves that are clearly not beginner level, but above the climbing is much easier. I was even half-certain I might fall after the first bolt. I do not recommend this route, on a popular day it will be the one open. Jul 25, 2018

[Hide Comment] This was my first rope solo lead, great tree for anchor in-line with bolts, short, but exposed between first and second bolt. Sep 28, 2019

[Hide Comment] Serge, Yes you are correct. In the new guidebook this is #28 Piece Maker, in the old guidebook this is EB-6. I will edit appropriately if possible. Jul 18, 2020

[Hide Comment] The moves after the first bolt were very difficult for my whole party. This route should be somewhere in the 5.10 range, IMO. Felt harder than Missing the Taco (5.10a/b) to its right. This route can be safely top roped from the Attack of the Butterknives anchor to climber’s right. Sep 27, 2020
