Climb the face, with continuous thin moves,

The 2 routes Elwood P. Dowd, and Harvey are tributes to Mary Chase, who owned part of Staunton Park. She wrote the play Harvey, that be came the classic movie Harvey, 1950, staring James Stewart, as Elwood P. Dowd, Harvey is a 6'3" 1/2 tall, invisible white rabbit, aka the Pooka, a benign but mischievous creature from Celtic mythology.

At the base of the Meadow Dome, heading up and left is the start of the Permission Wall.

This is the 2nd bolted route on Permission Wall, the 1st bolted one is Harvey.

8 bolts plus an anchor.

This line feels a bit forced also (like Harvey). That said, it's a fun face. A nice combination of steepness and small sloping holds. Enough so that I didn't mind being forced into it. Indeed, the stem before the first bolt (as noted in the description) would take off some edge, but the bouldery start adds some excitement. Thoughtful and worthwhile, but what's with the shallow drill hole just left of one of the upper bolts? Oct 6, 2014
