Gray's Peak

V-easy, Boulder, 10 ft (3 m),  Avg: 1.3 from 10 votes
FA: unknown
California > Los Angeles Basin > Stoney Point > Pile Ups
Warning Access Issue: RAIN & WET ROCK DetailsDrop down

Description

Balance-y warmup or intro problem for the outdoor bouldering beginner. Short problem without much risk and a relatively safe landing.

Start with your feet on thin edges and hands on two of the many decent hand-holds. Work your feet up gradually and set up for the crux: standing up and grabbing the excellent rail near the top of the problem. From there the finish is more of the same.

Location

The north side of Pile Ups, roughly the center of the boulder.

Protection

Pad and spotter for the new climber. None required for the intermediate to advanced boulderer.

[Hide Comment] I put this up here to get some more V-easy stuff documented on Moutain Project for fellow beginners to get started with. Is that a faux pas? Sep 3, 2015
