[Hide Comment] I am not sure if this has been done or if I was the FA? Either way, doesn't matter too much to me. I will be happy to change the name if someone has already sent this.

Working this was the highlight of my weekend at Blue Mounds.

[Hide Comment] This boulder was called the giving tree project in the Minnesota Bouldering guide, I am sure if it has been done it would have been in just the last few years as there used to be a tree in front of the rock.

My guess is you are probably the first to send, I like the name.

Super Psyched to see some strong folks out here, you should go do the thumbdercling project on the north diamond shaped face of the north quarry boulder!

Here is a picture I took back when I was bouldering the area, note the tree.

[Hide Comment] I sent this shortly after the tree came out, ;-) Called her a V3, named it Fiasco, but your name is significantly better haha. There is potential for a few harder variations, including a sit from the bottom right I think could push it to a V4, and then a link up after the standing move on The Prow, also maybe a 3/4. [Hide Comment] Almost all the variations have been done on this block unless SDS. This was actually the first block I ever climbed on in Blue Mounds with a Group. Most the stuff on the hillside by this block were done the same time. The Prow was one of the first lines shown to me. This block was for sure bouldered out by 2009/10. The tree that someone decided to cut down in a way caught you if you fell. It was a squeeze and I remember someone downclimbing that way. The FA and " Original" names I was told were from an older group from sioux city? As if it mattered. Glad to see people still enjoying the area. Jan 24, 2015
