For 2022: per Daniel Bryant: they did extend the order, but what I found was that the closed area does not encompass any of the common climbing areas within Elevenmile Canyon.

Description

Sprout Route is approximately 10' right of Zamboni Man. Climb thin face moves to 2 bolts protecting the crux moves into the incipient crack then past small tree to the larger tree on the ledge. You probably want to stick clip the first bolt as there is no gear below.

Location

This is 10' right of Zamboni Man. Zamboni Man is the route with 5 bolts just right of the arete.

Protection

2 bolts, TCUs, and small cams. The crack above the small tree is flaring and shallow, you may want to sling the tree (such as it is).

The tree is very much dead in the middle of the route and might not hold a fall, so refrain from slinging it. Really fun and well-protected route, get on it. Jul 25, 2020
