International > N America > Canada > Yukon Territory > Whitehorse > Rock Gardens > Upper Canyon

Description

Fun moves up to the crux which involves a terrible undercling crimp with your right hand and then move high with your left hand...possibly bump... up to a good ledge. From here there is some mantling to be done.

Location

Sort of heads up the arete to the right of Cling-on Opposition.

Protection

5 bolts. You may want to consider stick clipping the first bolt. Top anchors.

[Hide Comment] watch that last move, which isnt the crux but a slip there and a spiked catch will swing you into the side of the ledge. let your belayer hose you here a bit. Feb 28, 2017

[Hide Comment] Janky climb. Very reachy. Would be much harder if you're short. I'm 5'10 and was just barely to reach some key holds. The crux move is definitely fun but its a lot of mantling. Anchor is set up horribly and should have chains (or at least some rings, damn). Requires you to mantle to the top of the cliff which is kind of fun but extremely janky to get lowered off. Then requires hiking back up to clean. Sep 5, 2021
