Agree with Frailey, seems easy (super easy for V10). My guess would be somewhere in the V7 range, V10 if you eliminate the pinky destroyer hold.. Dec 30, 2014
It was originally a v10. I think we can all agree that's a little soft. However, it should probably not be a 7 either. It's harder than yonah man and crystal meth, the two classic 7s, so I personally think it should go at v8. Downgrading something three grades is borderline disrespectful to the first ascentionist, even if it is warrented, which I don't think this is. Jan 18, 2015
Grades are hard, man. I also probably shouldn't put words in other people's mouths, so sorry about that... yeah I went back and looked at this today and I think the only eliminate is the jug near the top out. Even if the pinky destroyer was eliminated, the climb wouldn't be that much harder, seeing as the last move is the crux (for me). Yonah is weird; a lot of the time climbs are trickier than they are hard, and that's a difficult thing to grade. I still think it's more of an 8 than a 7, but that's just me. It's also important to remember than the crux on crystal meth and the crux on yonah man are both crux moves of v9s as well as 7s, to put their difficulty as individual moves into perspective. And that's enough of me getting worked up over grades for another year or two hopefully. Outstanding climb though- one of my absolute favorites at Yonah. Jan 20, 2015
