Description

Crux is just below the top. Fun crack climb. No jamming required, climbs like a face climb. Protects well.

Location

the center of three cracks on the west face of Tootsie Pop Tower. Rap off the anchor that is used for the climb Tootsie Pop.

Protection

small stoppers, or cams to .75(BD). Need to build anchor with a #2, and #3 size cams.

Like a shorter, easier version of Ted Shred - climb the face and protect with the crack. Great beginner gear lead because you can sew it up from solid stances with nuts and cams. I used a 3 and 4 for the anchor combined with good body position. Shady in the morning. Jun 29, 2014

I read the comments and saw 2 and 3, but you really need a 4 for a bomber anchor. Holds are great, feet are great, gear placements are good for practicing but not ideal/secure. I didn't really want to lower off my own gear so I just walked over the top and rapped of the other side of the boulder (which was fun!). Sep 7, 2016
