RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description

150 feet of fun face, and partial crack, climbing up the wall and past a couple of bulges. Follow bolts up then eventually trending left to a two bolt anchor. Worth doing.

Location

To the right and uphill of Black Rose/Emerald Forest, past a crack system. Begin at a crack/flake and spot the bolts above from the ground.

Protection

10-11 pro bolts to a two bolt anchor. Can supplement with nuts and small rack.

The break left for the last couple bolts felt really forced, and a bit spicier than the other routes. Sep 25, 2017

80m barely works (knot your ends). Anchor could use chains and wrench. Oct 10, 2016
