This route ascends a wide gully on the south buttress of Hailstone Rock. After clipping the first bolt (shared with Hailstone Arete route) veer off right towards the base of a steep gully Ascend up through a series of broken tiered ledges to the bolted anchor shared with Hailstone Arete. A big shout out and thanks to Alex Isabeau, Mojo, and others who discovered and climbed many obscure routes throughout MSH !

Location

This route starts at the base of steep gully approx. 20 feet right of the Hailstone arĂȘte route base.

Protection

One of my all-time least favorite trad leads. The first two-thirds of the climb is a bit spooky on less-than-solid blocks, then the climbing improves with solid protection. There are two old pitons, although I saw and clipped only one (my partner spotted the second). May 9, 2016
