Right-a-Way Gone Wrong

FA: Nick Weicht
Alaska > Anchorage & S C… > Valdez Area Rock > Tunnel Wall

Description

Climb 20' vertical face to the base of a large roof. From here, cut right along bolt line out and through the lid and onto vertical face climbing. Slings on the lower clips will keep rope drag down for the upper half. Then enjoy the second 50' of mellower climbing to the anchor. Keep an eye out for ledges, but don’t freak out. They are well-protected for a cool head that wants to enjoy a great climb.

Protection

15 bolts, 2 bolt chain anchor.

[Hide Comment] This is the worst rock I’ve gotten on in the area. Pulled off a couple of encyclopedias in the roof. More ready to go. The climbing above the roof was similar to the other routes on the wall but a bit steeper feeling. Choss at the top as well Aug 7, 2021
