Access to Hillcrest Boulders is potentially at risk:
Due to the influx of climbers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the residents of the Hillcrest area have been suffering from substantial parking problems that, if left unchecked, may threaten access to the Vacaville Boulders.

Description

Right to left traverse on the lip of a boulder that is fairly small with a slightly overhung 6' tall North Face. Start far right scoot in with sit start. Right foot around the corner on a high foot chip both hands starting on sloping right arête. Pull on, and bump to the top and traverse left on good holds. Get your feet established on the left arête (obvious jug about 3' off of ground) then pull over the top.

Rough

Fun little traverse that was a bit more challenging than I expected. That could also be due to me being out of shape :) Still a nice little addition to the area and a good way to spend Xmas Eve morning. Took a bit of cleaning of loose rock, what a surprise, and removal of lichen off of key holds. No question this was undone till now. I took some cool pics then accidentally deleted them while transferring from my phone to computer. I'll get a good picture over the next few days. Dec 25, 2013
