Access Issue: RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description [Suggest Change]

Right of Scent of an Ultraman, a TR exists that looks like it's been there for a long time, judging from the rust on the quicklinks that are in place. Moderate climbing, probably best set up as a TR after leading Scent or Mothra.

Location [Suggest Change]

Between Scent of an Ultraman and Mothra, left side of wall.

Protection [Suggest Change]

Looks like a no pro deal, pretty clearly a toprope and not a lead route. Would be a decent solo if not for an insecure move right at the top and no direct topout to the smiley ledge that makes sense.

As of late 2014, the anchors of this route were replaced with stainless 1/2 inch bolts and Mussy hooks courtesy of the ASCA. Visit their site and make a donation if you enjoy climbing this route and appreciate the beefy hardware. This is now a no-fuss toprope due to the Mussy hooks, it's easy to traverse left a few feet and drop a rope in to set up the TR from Mothra, which is the safest and easiest moderate lead on the wall at this point (minus the cactus).
