Dike Arch

5.9+, Trad, Sport, 65 ft (20 m),  Avg: 2.6 from 7 votes
FA: unknown
Colorado > Grand Junction… > Unaweep Canyon > Main Canyon: Un… > Access Fund Tra… > Sunday Wall

Description

It is easy climbing up to a ledge where the dike begins. From here, follow the bolt line with some fun moves on the in-cuts that created the dike. From the last bolt, gain ledgy terrain before the dike steepens and a few last moves to slings around a horn.

Location

This is the next route left of Arch Traverse. Look for a ledge and a set of weaving, white dikes angling left.

Protection

QDs and a 0.5. Bring extra slingage to beef up the anchor.

[Hide Comment] Runout to anchor, crumbly rock takes a fairly okay piece, don't remember the size.
Bring webbing for the anchor. The webbing I found was black on the inside and white on the outside. Sep 11, 2014
