Excellent slab/arete problem.
Great rock, great movement, great landing.

Crux would probably be the final few moves maybe

Start low on the arete and balance up to the flat top out.
Down climb the back of the boulder

a few pads are more than enough

Emerson, which arete is this (there are 3 on the boulder)? Is this the problem referred to as Gutshot (and rated V5) in the Caldiero Guide, the Utah Bouldering Guide and the Black Bible (A Bouldering Guide to Utah)? Oct 17, 2014

Hey Nat,
This would be the right arete on the side that faces the road.
Felt easier than v5 to me, but its all relative.

Personally, it felt easier to me than the problem that goes up the center of the boulder(guides seem to call that one the v3) Oct 21, 2014
