Make sure to check in with Wolf Ridge ELC to let them know you are climbing and stick to established trails. Wolf Ridge is happy to let climbers use their property but avoid the beach if there are groups/children and do not use any of their gear (canoes, backboard, etc.)

Description

This route is a good warmup lead. The crux is at the small roof that marks the start of the dihedral.

Location

Just to the left of the main access gully. Look for a crack that starts maybe 10 feet up or so and curves right and then back left. Shortly after that is a small roof followed by a dihedral.

Protection

Standard rack to 3". Protection is adequate but you have to work for it. Good luck protecting the crux without filling up the best jam. Bring extra slings for the trees at the top.

Fun climb. Calling this 5.5 (in the book), or even 5.6 (mp) is perhaps a bit disingenuous; 5.7 probably in 2 places, imo. Protection is good where you need it; getting into the first crack lower down and getting into the dihedral. Sep 1, 2024
