Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

Description

A crux sequence pulling past the second bolt leads to fun climbing through the lieback flakes. The pegmatite can be a little crumbly, but it is kind of a fun route.

If you are short, be mindful clipping the 2nd bolt.

Eds. This is basically a retrobolting of a toprope line, Staff, with the exception of its finish.

Location

This is about 10 feet to the left of Renounce Action.

Protection

6 bolts, 2 bolt anchor.

The climbing between the first and second bolt is definitely harder than 9+. It felt 10b to me... it requires good balance on sharp, little crimps. It seemed to get easier after that, but we couldn't finish the route because giant wasps were guarding the upper holds. Oct 1, 2017

Is this the same route that eventually meets up with Renounce Action anchors? If so, beginning felt much harder than 9+. Rock is sharp and crumbly with no solid holds, and clipping the second bolt felt like 10b/c moves.... Apr 14, 2015
