Description

Thin edges and balance (Watch for possible loose rock down low) lead to mantle move then up a awesome shoot that takes creativity and footwork.

Location

Follow the blue-grey streak between the Bongeater crack and Lamentation.

Protection

Overall well bolted, fixed quickdraw hanging at the crux after mantel move. Bolted anchors up top can also be top roped easily from the left most walkup.

This one has some history. It was first climbed with two bolts and a slung tree by Ken Duncan. Brian Hopkins and I re-discovered it and got permission to add more bolts. Note that many of the holds broke when we first checked out the line, which made it much harder than it was originally. All the thin holds after the ledge were incut at one time.

Every effort was made to reuse the old bolt holes, and that is why the clip is so far off the midway ledge. One of the old bolts was removed by hand, and the other one broke off and that hole could not be used. The rusty hole can be seen to the left of the start. Aug 19, 2013
