Start straight up the face, crux is getting the first bolt. Alternatively: 1) climb up the rocks to the right until you can climb the first bolt and then transverse onto the face, or 2) use the boulder behind to create a "chimney" and work your way up until you can transfer onto the face at the first bolt.

Beyond the first bolt the route is 5.6-7. Recommended that you past the anchors and finish up over the top of the crag if you have a way to anchor at the top.

South face of Castle Grey Skull. Around the corner from Catholic Grade School.

2 bolts, anchors.

The name of this route is "Castle Grey Skull" (5.10c) and the route climbs straight up the slab although it's possible to avoid the crux by either of the two starting methods described. Jun 25, 2013
