Start in the middle of the large, horizontal crack that runs the length of this massive boulder. Paste feet and make big moves to a sloping shelf. Mantle the shelf and reach up to a funky series of underclings and upside down pinches. Work these holds to a good ledge at 16ft. Move through the ledge right into a descent stance, compose yourself then head up and left. The hands get better and better, but the feet get worse and worse. The last hold is a jug but you finish the climb by grabbing a root then a small tree.
Needs a scrub
From the silver lake day use area take the trail to the left of the picnic benches. Follow the obvious trail for 5-10 minutes. Laquer Head is the middle line on the first giant set of boulder stacks you encounter. Obvious horizontal crack 5 feet up from the ground.
Would recommend pre inspection from rope.
