Description

"Newer" route not described in Utah's West Desert guidebook by James Garrett (2011)

Climb the face on awkward features to reach a series of undercling crack features below the roof. Clip bolt 4 below the roof and solve the puzzling roof to gain the final bolt on the face above.

Beware of loose rock!! Route should clean up with more traffic.

Location

Refer to beta photo on Cannibus Crews Wall page.

Protection

Protects with quickdraws (6 bolts) to bolted anchor with chains.

Haven't climbed this one but have done all the others on this wall. That roof pull looks way harder than .11a IMO. Feb 15, 2014

This is called Chossilvania Transit Line or CTL for short. 5.11a no way! More like 5.12b........ This was originally rated 5.11d before a key hold broke during a red point attempt and I took a huge whipper. It had only been climbed clean a couple times on top rope before the hold broke. I have not been back to get a first ascent since the hold broke. I had also planned on adding another bolt coming out the roof, since the falls pulling out onto the face are big and not very safe in my opinion. Also I know of two different people who injured their shoulders pulling out the roof as well so be careful! Both guys were out for an extended period of time and one required surgery. Mar 26, 2014
