Description

Sit start with good, left hand incut and a tiny, right hand crimp. Move right hand to match on the good incut flake and dead point your left hand to a black crimp. Slap right hand to a big pinch and heelhook your left heel on the flake and reach your right to a decent flat hold. Finish up on good holds.

Location

This is the dead obvious, steep route with the big, cool, right hand pinch.

Protection

Pad.

Jim,

That is right. The original version climbed as described. I also did the version you describe at a later date and agree that is easier, probably V5ish.

I did a version of this using the same beta described by Old Timer except I reached for a shallow solution pocket above the black crimp with my left instead of the admittedly cooler black crimp. Grade is also probably height dependent at the start (if you are taller you can reach a better part of the left starting hold). Seemed V5-V6 to me, but I was pretty burned out from repeatedly trying it a much harder way.

Still a great line.
