Description

Shade till 11am then shaded by trees in mid summer. If the first bolt was moved further right, this would be a 3 star 5.9. I know going straight up to the first bolt is fun but it isn't 5.9 and this start is inconsistent with the 5.9 grade of the remainder of the climb. If others agree with me make a comment and I can see if we can move the first bolt. Plus the first bolt is out of alignment with the remainder of the bolts.

Protection

6 bolts and lower offs at anchor

[Hide Comment] A hair harder than rebirth, at the crux, I thought. Mar 12, 2015

[Hide Comment] Had a little bit of everything. Power first, the balance, and topped off with a body contortion then 5.8 for the last three bolts. Favorite route on Kudos. May 25, 2015
[Hide Comment] Some fun thin sections. There seems to be a couple ways to wander around the crux moves on the direct line making the climb a bit easier. Aug 26, 2015

[Hide Comment] High first bolt, then well protected after that. Fun climb, but definitely tougher than Rebirth right next to it Sep 26, 2016

[Hide Comment] Going straight up thru the second bolt felt like hard 5.10. My buddy wandered and made it look like 10a. Jun 14, 2021

[Hide Comment] I must be getting old but I found going straight up to the first bolt was too difficult for me. Oct 17, 2021
