Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures & Rockfall Mitigation Project Details

Description

This line came from trying to match a word description to the terrain at this crag. Unfortunately or fortunately, photos are more descriptive.

To the right of Flaked Out, move up to flakes, angle right to a dihedral, near a tiny roof, protect in the dihedral, move right onto an arete. Cross the slab to the anchors of Tetherly.

If one were of the inclination, one could clean out the rest of the dihedral and finish up it.

Rap off the 2 bolt anchor.

The length of the route is listed as longer, since using a 100' rope will not allow you to belay your second from the ground.

Location

This is between Flaked Out and Tetherly on the same chunk as Tetherly.

Protection

Cams to a #1 Camalot.

I finished up the dihedral. I cleaned lots of dirt out of the crack, and there are several small cam placements and a medium-sized nut placement. The slab looked fun, but since it does not have many protection possibilities, I did not wish to ascend it. Sep 20, 2013

Did the original finish up the slab today. It is fun and the slab portion is PG-13, but the climbing felt easier than that on Tetherly. The crack on the variation had lots of pine needles in it today, and I cleaned it a little. Dec 28, 2016
