Bop 'Till You Drop

5.10c, Sport, 40 ft (12 m),  Avg: 2.7 from 6 votes
FA: unknown
Montana > Northwest Region > Missoula Area > Bass Creek

Description

After the second clip, you have lieback slopers past the third, then easy moves to chains in a half-cave. The chains are a bit skinny. Comfortable with a 9.6mm rope, but if you have a 10.2, you might want to walk off.

Descent: abseil or walk off. Be careful if you walk off--would suggest abseiling.

Location

Just to the right of the leftmost chimney, this route starts in the tan section of rock at the crag.

Protection

4 bolts
2 chain anchors

a well protected route with safe well thought out clipping stances.

I do not recall any issues with thin chains Jun 10, 2013

[Hide Comment] A really neat route that requires some powerful moves and that ends in a cave at the top. From this cave you can sit back, relax, and bask in the glory of your send. Best part is from the second to third bolt; but the top section is enjoyable as well. Don't try walking off; that's a good way to die.

The best route at Bass Creek. Sep 17, 2020
