Ewe Make It

Utah > W Desert > Ibex > Corral Crags > Ewe For Real Wall

Description

An anti-classic line up a deceptive arete. Bordeline ridiculous, this route will work your brain and body. Most mortals will spend the first run equipping the route, the second run working out the moves, and the third run sending.

Double cruxed, Ewe Make It just barely goes. Easy climbing reaches the first bolt, then a few spacious moves lead to a tough, second clip. The first crux comes at the mid-point range and the last crux comes at the final bulge. With the exception of getting to the second bolt, Ewe Make It is well protected. Expect some hard climbing and thoughtful moves on this low-flow, bouldery route. Terribly awkward, this climb is still a lot of fun!

Location

You'll find Ewe Make It on the left side arete of the Ewe for Real wall.

Protection

Six bolts to set of separate, fixed ring anchors.

[Hide Comment] Bad fall potential in more than one spot. Holds are hard to see and often a bit less positive than desired considering a fall could end your trip. Apr 2, 2017

[Hide Comment] 2nd GO. JB's beta is bullshit!!! Hug the bear and you have a chance to onsight and clipping will be much more comfortable. Good fun route. The upper section is rad. Sent this on 2/12/2017. Got rained out in Southern Utah so we figured WTH, Ibex is on the way to Ogden. Sorta!!! I thought this was a great route. Not sure what Leron is talking about. Maybe he got on wrong route. Nov 10, 2020
[Hide Comment] I thought this was fun and had decent movement. Getting to the second bolt and the anchor are definitely a bit heads up. I stemmed up the chimney after the last bolt, which might have been cheating, but it was fun and exciting. May 2, 2022
