One Slip

5.6, Trad, 75 ft (23 m),  Avg: 2 from 23 votes
FA: unknown
Tennessee > Tennessee Wall > T-Wall West

Description

Fun climb. Follow arete to the top. Shares anchors with Path of The Misfits.

Location

20 or 30 feet to the left of that funky tree stump in the middle of the trail. 10 feet to the left of Path Of The Misfits.

Protection

Cams up to 2", also a 3" crack 4 feet below anchors would keep from running that section out. About a 12' run out section in the middle that might not be best for a beginning leader.

One Slip is the orange line. I traversed left under the roof on the arete , but it looked liked you could also stay right. Path of Misfits is the green line.

[Hide Comment] Easy climb. Stay to the right of the arete for plenty of pro all the way. I think the 12-foot runout is on the left of it, but that's another climb. There are bolted anchors at the top. Apr 17, 2013

[Hide Comment] To echo the other commenter, plenty of gear to the right. If you're too far left it gets run out. Lots of horizontals, tri-cams are amazing on this route. Dec 4, 2015

[Hide Comment] If you're coming out this way in search of beginner trad leads, don't. It's a long walk for a 5.5 and a 5.6 that's aren't very well protected.

The well-protected route to the right is listed as Path of the Misfits in ChatTrad. Jan 12, 2019
