Description

The Juan Tabo Waterfall forms up remarkably consistently even in low precip years as long as temperatures cooperate. Falls may be led or toproped off tree anchors above in many different ways depending on shape of the ice.

Location

Reaching the falls is the true challenge. To avoid dry tooling in winter up 3/4 mile of stream bed take the ridgeline either south or north (the Movie Trail) dropping into the canyon where appropriate - bearing in mind you are really only trading one form of bushwhacking for another.

Protection

Screws, long slings for toprope.
