Description
Garbage to glory: graffiti, bullet holes, and junk rock followed by a cool roof and a beautiful headwall with thin crimps. Great climbing from midpoint up, but you pay a steep price to get there. Barely one star.
Location
Straight up the center of the monolith. If you choose to climb this thing, take the extra precaution of keeping your rope and rope bag off the dirt - this area has been (and still occasionally is) used by losers as a dump site for scary things like car batteries. Once, I had to discard a rope due to damage from invisible, but caustic chemicals. When I belayed Harry, I built a platform out of rocks, put a crash pad on top of that, and put the rope bag and rope on top of that.
