In the early '90's the USFS banned all placement of bolts in the Superstition Wilderness. This unfortunately includes replacement of existing bolts. Violating this ban may result in climbing restrictions on this beautiful area. Please think twice and go bolt somewhere else.
Description
Start about 150 feet left of Kublai Khan behind a huge block. Climb up behind the block, then up a small pillar to a ledge. Move left and up the face (crux) to a notch on the left.
Mel Thompson was the governor of New Hampshire from 1970-78. Among other things, he wanted to arm the NH National Guard with nuclear weapons!
