Access Issue: PLACING BOLTS IS ILLEGAL IN THE SUPERSTITION WILDERNESS! Details
In the early '90's the USFS banned all placement of bolts in the Superstition Wilderness. This unfortunately includes replacement of existing bolts. Violating this ban may result in climbing restrictions on this beautiful area. Please think twice and go bolt somewhere else.
Start as for Kublai Khan below the right edge of a huge roof about 60 feet up.
P1: Climb the face just right of a wide crack to a ledge. Move left, then up to another ledge (bolt; belay for Kublai Khan). Continue up the corner to a ledge with an anchor below a smooth, pocketed face.
P2: Climb the center of the smooth, pocketed face left of Huri Andropoff past two bolts (5.9-).
Bolts placed on lead from hooks.
