Description

A fine crack climb, thin hands. Listed as the only route here in the book at V4.

Location

Straight up from trail on the east rim. Right or East of Atari.

Protection

Only space for one pad, stack two maybe. An uncontrolled fall would be very ugly.

Super great problem that is under appreciated by the boulder-bros that hang out around here. I'll smoke the dope and agree with the V1 rating... Super-secure ring-locks (although gently overhanging) to bomber hand-jams (and smaller hands could probably get the hand-jams earlier); seemed textbook 10+. I laughed pretty hard when I saw in the book it was rated V4. May 4, 2016

Tim's and Russ's grading seem correct to me. It felt 5.10+, although hand size could change this a bit. Nov 30, 2015

One of the best and only splitters in Bishop. Nowhere near V4. If Bachar Cracker is V3/4, this thing is V1 max. It's scarier than hard. If it were on a route, the route would be 5.10, so in that case it might even be V0+. Of course, finger size might matter. I'm just saying it's definitely not 5.12 ... or 5.11. Really deserves more traffic. The landing is worse than Atari though, so take care. Mar 7, 2013
