Access Issue: Dirt roads reopened as of June 2014 Details

Description

This is a pretty good top-rope. You don't get any protection for the first 40 feet and that is after the crux. You can place gear in the crack to the right and then traverse back left to get on the route. There are rappel bolts up and left after several good ledges.

Location

It is on Walt's Wall. It is between Friction Slide and Jake's Variation.

Protection

Gear.

The route has actually been done without toprope, but that is not recommended. I don't recall who, but it had several bouldering style ascents by 1972. Guess we were feeling confident or profoundly stupid that day. Apr 19, 2017
