Description

Pitch 1: climb 120 feet of lower fifth class to the base of the dihedral.

Pitch 2: the sustained 5.7 crux is as you move out of the chimney, large #9 and #10 hexes are needed, 100 feet.

Pitch 3: climb 5.4 to the top. It is short.

Location

This is on the largest rock in the valley. The start is right in the center.

Protection

Bring one each of large #9-10 hexes. You can rap off the back 60 feet or rappel the route.

Anyone have any better beta on getting to the climb? I did some recon on Google Earth, and it looks like you can approach from Coal Creek, but that looks like a BIG hike to get to the route, but also from Indian Head Road off CO 93. Either way, it looks like a pretty solid bushwhack to get to the climb. Or perhaps I'm just missing the trail? Dec 11, 2018
