Description

Move right after the first bolt (skipping the roof) and work your way up to the right hand anchors. The 5.9 slab move above the last bolt can be bypassed by moving up the seam to the left of the bolt and doing a small mantle move(5.8). Once at the anchors, consider heading up “Garden Party” or “Knee Surgery” on P-Wall.

Location

Farthest right bolt line on Garden Wall.

Protection

4 bolts plus two anchor bolts on top

Greg Ross and myself went back and tightened the loose bolt that he found. We found another loose nut on the next pitch and snugged it up too. Oct 14, 2017

Climbing it last night I noticed the nut and hanger on the last bolt where both loose..
Didn't have any tools on me but will bring one next time, until then just fyi.....

UPDATE: Brought a socket wrench up with us this week and tightened the nut. Found a few more as we continued to the top through garden party. Highly recommend checking the bolts before trusting them! Sep 27, 2017

This is a fun route with a very slabby finish. You can link this route to Garden Party in one long pitch if you use a double length sling on the first bolt and the Doggie Style anchor. Be kind to the tree in Mountaineer's Gully. Jan 27, 2016

To reduce the runout / ledge fall potential between the second and third bolts, it's possible to clip the third bolt of Woofs of a Wandering St. Bernard with a long runner. Aug 6, 2015

This is a good climb on solid rock. This past summer, we watched a heli-rescue off of Doggie Style from nearby P-Wall. Apparently, a guy fell just before clipping the third bolt, which resulted in a broken ankle.

This climb has a bolted anchor with chains and clips for easy rappelling. Dec 29, 2013
