Description

Slightly harder than it's neighbor to the right, Teacup climbs a straight line past 3 bolts to the left of the splotches.

Location

Second bolted line from the right of the great arch. Rap down.

Protection

3 quickdraws, bolted belay station.

Probably the best stretch of rock of any route off the tree ledge. I always used to skip that last bolt because the natural "line" of holds was a little to the left, but the climbing is easier up there so it' really not a big deal.

Was told a few years back that the name comes from the fact that the fa party suspected the "squeezed in line" might cause some controversy. Not sure if that is true. Jan 7, 2013

The tree that you can see in the beta photo is starting to obstruct the line but it does offer an additional option for protection before reaching the first bolt. Both the protection and the obstruction are marginal at this point but that might change as the tree keeps growing. Oct 29, 2017
