Description

Pitch 1 (5.8+, BC, 8 bolts): A shorter, pumpy climb. No definitive crux, just pulling on smaller holds at the beginning until you reach a ledge and then from there it's a bunch of 5.7 moves from there to the anchors. Not recommended for newer lead climbers due to the hard holds at the beginning and risk of hitting the large tree at the base of the climb.

Pitch 2 (5.10a, BC, 10 bolts)

Location

Fourth climb from the right, just to the right of Horse of a Different Color. The first bolt is around 3 feet away from a large tree right next to the wall.

Protection

Bolts and chains. The anchors at the end of each pitch consist of a bolt and chain. If both pitches are climbed two rappels are required to descend.

[Hide Comment] Did both pitches today. The first has some 10a moves on it and gets 2 stars. The second pitch is excellent! Several 10a/b crux sections, including a very enjoyable and airy last 30 feet to the anchors. Also had a nice staring contest with an owl that seems to have nested in the chossy tower to the climber's right halfway up the second pitch. Apr 9, 2016

[Hide Comment] Do this as one long pitch for something a little extra. Bring about 14-16 draws or back clean skip when possible. I also believe I saw one more climb to the right so the description might need updated Jul 17, 2021

[Hide Comment] Calling the first pitch of this climb anywhere in the 5.8 range is hilarious. Nov 5, 2021

[Hide Comment] Hmmm... If this is the 4th route from the R, why is it the first route in the list when sorted from R to L? (...last in the list when sorted L to R...) Is that because there are 3 routes to the R of it that are
"unknown"? Sep 4, 2023
