Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures ***** RAIN AND WET ROCK ***** The sandstone in Zion is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN ZION during or after rain. A good rule of thumb is that if the ground near your climb is at all damp (and not powdery dry sand), then do not climb. There are many alternatives (limestone, granite, basalt, and plastic) nearby. Nice hand crack the leads to a short OW section to a V-slot finish.

In between the 5.6 chimney and the 10- corner Flake route.
Approach trail leads directly to this climb.

The anchor for this climb included a fixed pin and a button head or rivet head bolt with a hanger. Oct 29, 2014
Bring some replacement webbing (or chains & links, if your are feeling generous) when you go. The anchor webbing needs a little TLC and I was fresh out at the end of the day. Oct 25, 2018

Climbed this this afternoon. Was covered pretty dirty. Anchor could use some love. 4 days ago
